Reaction to Raul Cuero's Interview

I really appreciate Raul's take on preceding nature and the only way to produce creativity is to be familiar with nature itself. He mentions how technology has sort of impeded this in children and I refuse to let that keep me from reaching my creative potential. That being said, I will take his advice by bringing my sketchbook outside to draw, and whether I am doing something artistic or not, I should just observe nature more often than I do, and I hope that will help in the event that I need to spark some creativity.

His theory that asking questions is creativity regardless of the answers, really excites me because I like to ask questions. How I will implement that, however, is to be less focused on the answers. I tend to get hung up on details and I want to start looking at creativity like Raul does and get lost in the process. His point that the education system is focused on getting kids educated to get jobs rather than just for the sake of learning. I love to learn, and if I could take classes forever I would. I'm going to continue with his idea and utilize some of the opportunities at this school to merge my interests and branch out into finding more creative ways to use my skills rather than just stay set on one path. I want to work in a creative field and if I open my mind to the possibility of other paths to getting where I want to be and just accepting that life will throw things at me, I will be able to come up with more creative ways to deal with the situations as they arise.
